Disney Value Resorts offer families a more affordable way to stay on-site. Due to them being budget-friendly they are very popular with families. There are five value Disney Resorts, All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, Art of Animation, and Pop Century. Art of Animation is considered a “Value Plus” hotel due to it being slightly higher in price and slightly better amenities. These hotels offer the same perks the moderate and deluxe resorts offer. These include free transportation, Disney dining plan eligibility, free MagicBands, extra magic hours, fastpass+ reservations at 60 days, advanced dining reservations, resort room charging, and resort package delivery.
Disney value resorts are the most kid-friendly hotels on property. Around the resort, you will find in-depth theming like related to the theme of the hotel. Rooms at the value resorts tend to be smaller than the moderate hotel range. All-Star Music and Art of Animation offer family suites that sleep up to six people. All of these resorts have a food court.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Art of Animation is the newest of the Disney value resorts. It is considered a “value plus” resort because it offers more than the other four value resorts. Here you can find yourself inside some of the most iconic Disney animations including Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid. Art of Animation now has two modes of free transportation to and from the parks which are the bus system and the new Disney Skyliner. In terms of amenities, this resort has to largest pool on Disney property. Another feature that is different from the other value resorts is these rooms can be accessed via an internal hallway. Art of Animation is known to have an amazing food court
Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Pop Century will be slightly more per night than the All-Star resorts. This resort has its own bus transportation and is a stop on the new Disney Skyliner. The rooms are newly renovated. Each standard room has a queen-sized murphy bed and a queen-sized bed. Most will choose to stay at Pop Century due to the added space with the renovations and the two transportation options available.
Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
All-Star Sports was the first value resort and opened in 1994. This resort is, you guessed it, sports-themed. The wings are themed after different sports – baseball, football, basketball, tennis, and surfing. All rooms are standard size and sleep up to four. All-Star Sports offers bus transportation to and from the parks, however, this bus line is shared with the other All-Star Resorts. A bonus of choosing Sports as apposed to Music or Movies is you are the first to be picked up and the first to be dropped off. This resort is slightly less Disney themed than other value resorts. You will see a few classic characters around but it is mostly sports-themed. Bottom line I think this is a great Disney resort to stay at if you are on a budget. You get all the perks of staying on-site for a great price.
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
All-Star Music is themed to Rock & Roll, Jazz, Country, Calypso, and Broadway. Like All-Star Sports it is a little less “Disney” themed than other value resorts. They do have family suites that sleep up to six people. They have a guitar-shaped pool with many classic Disney characters around the resort. This resort is a great option if you have any music lovers in your group.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
All-Star Movies is the most Disney themed of all the All-Star resorts. The sections are based on movies like 101 Dalmations, Fantasia, Toy Story, The Love Bug, and The Mighty Ducks. The rooms are newly renovated, unfortunately, they do not have family suites.
