One thing I truly love about Universal Orlando Resort is its consistency when it comes to food and restaurants. You can always count that you are going to get the best quality and experience for your money. Let’s face it theme park food is very expensive, but I am going to give you a list of the top ten restaurants that I believe are totally worth it! These restaurants are completely family-friendly and are guaranteed to have something for every picky eater in your group! Here are my top 10 Universal Orlando Restaurants!

1. Lombard's Seafood Grille

Lombards' Seafood Grille Storefront

This is one of the most underrated table service restaurants at Universal Orlando! If you are a fan of seafood, this is the place for you! Lombard’s is located within the Universal Studios side of the park across from the entrance to Diagon Alley. They have a variety of food on the menu and the service is always amazing! They have many menu items that can be modified to be gluten-free or vegetarian. There are also quite a few healthier options available, as well as, non-seafood items for anyone in your group who isn’t a fan. I would say that Lombard’s is probably my favorite full-service restaurant at Universal Orlando!

2. The Three Broomsticks

Three Broomsticks Storefront

The Three Broomsticks is located in Hogsmeade village inside Islands of Adventure. I personally prefer to eat here as opposed to the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. This is a quick-service restaurant, however, the quality of food rivals table service restaurants! If you are a Harry Potter fan I highly recommend you enjoy a meal here. You really do feel like you are in the books and movies. This restaurant is themed so well! If you are 21 or older you can also head over to the Hog’s Head for a drink! I recommend the spare ribs with corn on the cob and roasted potatoes and of course top it off with a butterbeer! Another great option if you have picky eaters is fish and chips! They are also open for breakfast if you are in the park early! Many people like to use their early park admission to get breaky here or the Leaky Cauldron.

3. Cowfish

I know what you are wondering. Why is it called “cowfish”? Well, it’s because at this restaurant you can get sushi and a burger! You can even get sushi ON your burger! How fun is that? Cowfish is a full-service restaurant located in Universal City Walk. Here you have the opportunity to eat either sushi or a burger and if you just can’t decide you can get both! They have bento boxes that keep your burger and sushi separate and you can get a burger made out of sushi! I recommend the Cowfish Bento Box!

4. Vivo

This is one of those more underrated restaurants in City Walk. You rarely see or hear reviews about Vivo, however, that doesn’t mean it isn’t an extremely good place to grab a meal. Vivo is an Italian restaurant with an amazing menu. They have an open expo kitchen which allows you to see into the kitchen while the staff is cooking and preparing meals. Great place to eat if you are looking for large portions of delicious food!

5. Voodoo Doughnut

VooDoo is a must-have when at Universal Orlando. They have a variety of different shapes, sizes, and flavors. They have doughnuts that have fun toppings like fruitloops, Butterfinger, and oreo. A fan favorite is their VooDoo doll doughnut. I highly recommend adding a stop to VooDoo in your budget. Also, don’t be intimidated if there is a line, staff members typically move very fast and get customers in and out in a timely fashion.

6. Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck

Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck

Located in the Springfield area of Universal Studios, BumbleBee Man taco truck is the perfect lunch stop. I love stopping here for my taco fix. Bumblebee man is definitely one of the more affordable lunch stops in Universal Studios! It is very delicious and a great place for a quick food recharge in the middle of the day. Bonus: you can also stop at Lard Lad Donuts nearby and get a donut the size of your head!

7. Toothsome Chocolate Emporium

Toothsome is a full-service restaurant located in CityWalk. They are steampunk themed and the service is always amazing! They have a large variety of food on the menu which most families with picky eaters tend to appreciate. They are open for lunch and dinner but you can still get brunch in when they open. Definitely don’t forget to stop in downstairs for your milkshake and some chocolatey goods!

8. Thunder Falls Terrace

Thunder Falls Terrace is located in Islands of Adventure. I will say that if you don’t eat meat there won’t be a lot of options to chose from here. However, if you are a meat lover you will definitely love this place! Thunder Falls is located in the Jurassic area of Islands of Adventure and you definitely feel that theming through their menu. There are many dessert options as well if you want to stop in for a snack!

9. Mel's Drive-In

If you want a burger while on your Universal Vacation this is the place to go. Mel’s is such a picturesque 50s diner. They have vintage cars parked outside and it really is a good atmosphere for a good meal. It is located in Universal Studios and this is a quick-service restaurant.

10. Mythos

Mythos is located in Islands of Adventure. They are a full-service restaurant with lots of options including healthy options. They incorporate many different types of food including Mediterranean, Asian, and your typical American foods.  On top of having delicious foods, Mythos is really a dining experience. While here you will feel like you are having a meal in a cavern or grotto. They also have outdoor seating which overlooks the lagoon. They have many menu items that can be prepared gluten-free or vegan. This is certainly a stop everyone should make on their next Universal vacation.

As you can see Universal has so many options when it comes to amazing food! There are still so many restaurants not included in this list that could have been. I encourage you to try one of these locations on your next Universal Orlando vacation!
